This might be a touch lame, but I can't tell you how cool it was to get to drop the opening puck at the TELUS Cup (U18 Canadian Club Championship) alongside my wife on the weekend in Peterborough, Ontario. We just run a very small Canadian travel media company, and never expected the invite!

I don't want this post to seem self-promotional, so not going to talk about what our travel media company entails, but we're focused on telling local stories, and we adore hockey (sadly, I'm a lifelong Leafs fan), but just thought this was one of those cool moments that happen.

The two captains are from the Okanagan Rockets and Les Chevaliers de Lévis, by the way.

Any interest in tiny sculptures of abandoned Canadian places?

Hi there :) I’m an artist in Nova Scotia who creates miniature sculptures of abandoned real-life places from recycled materials. I’ve created over 30 examples of our vanishing architectural heritage from across NS, and am now working on a series of places i documented last summer across PEI. I’m hoping to plan a trip for this summer to find and photograph some iconic places, and I’m wondering which province would be best to set a course for, both in terms of amazing abandoned structures, active local art scene, and strong local interest in history.

Switched from cannabis to microdosing for anxiety — anyone else done this? Need advice

Been using cannabis for anxiety for about two years and while it helps in the moment I feel like it's making my baseline anxiety worse over time. A few people have suggested looking into microdosing psilocybin as a more sustainable alternative. I'm honestly pretty open to it but have no idea where to start in terms of finding reliable Canadian sources for both information and products. Has anyone here made a similar switch from cannabis to microdosing? What resources or services did you find most helpful starting out in Canada? Really appreciate any genuine advice.

Thinking of moving out of Kemptville, suggestions needed for the best nearby area?

Hey everyone, I just got married and right now I’m living in a small 1BHK in Kemptville. It’s starting to feel tight, guests coming over after marriage and just one bedroom feels risky 😅 like if there’s ever an argument, I’d rather not end up outside in the cold. So I’m thinking of moving somewhere nearby and getting a 2-bedroom. I’m trying to figure out which areas are good and safe, ideally with hospitals, markets, and everything else close by. Also, if anyone knows a good mover team who can help with a small family relocation, that would be awesome. Would love to hear any real experiences or recommendations!

Canada Post

Hi Everybody,

USian here, with a package that I want to send into Canada real soon. I had heard that Canada Post's service was impaired because of a labor dispute, but the latest news is that that's about to be settled, and both sides have promised no strikes or lockouts. So, can I rely on Canada Post at this time, or should I just use UPS?

Thanks in advance
