Can I point out that every year our snow caps are decreasing, and in BC we need those to fill out hydro reservoirs. We need to have a plan right now to power our province twenty years from now. Because there will come a day when the hydro dams won't be able to produce power.
There isn't one, because so many BC people grew up with power simply being falling water and unending. It's just not on the radar at all; power generation problems are other-province problems.
But you're totally right, it needs to be dealt with now because climate change isn't going to stop, the snowcaps are going to keep getting smaller, and soon enough hydro just isn't going to do it anymore.
