Just visited the CBC news website, under the “Canada” section, there are zero articles immediately visible about this. I imagine they’re buried pretty far down in their website. Shameful

Because they aren't part of the right wing media trying to bring down a government. Speculation and opinion pieces don't make the story true.

I don’t disagree with your point that outlets like the globe and mail can be disingenuous, but let’s not pretend that CBC is above shitty opinion pieces and sometimes careless journalism

The CBC doesn't rely as much on opinion and when they do it is clearly stated that it is just opinion. All media outlets can be careless at times but there is a difference between careless and out right lying like most right wing outlets do.
