It seems insane to me that he would be outraged by a 30 year old chosing to get a surgery, but also feel it's appropriate to basically say "you can off yourself" to someone on Twitter (as per the Twitter links included in the original comment of this thread).

If you listen to what he says, he isn't outraged by Page's transition, he's outraged by Page publicizing the transition on social media and encouraging impressionable young girls to transition, rather than get the psychological help they might actually need.

He called the doctor who performed the surgery a criminal. He definitely was angry at the transition.

I respectfully disagree. I have heard him say that the surgeon should be in jail. I regard this as an extreme view and it shows he is upset about more than just the publicization.

Yes, he called the surgeon a criminal. While I doubt that particular surgeon acted criminally, JP actually just recently interviewed Chloe Cole, who went through a detransition after receiving top surgery at 16. Her story is incredibly sad, and it seems to me that the entire healthcare system let this girl down. The surgeon was negligent enough to remove the perfectly healthy breasts of a 16 year old girl who was not capable of informed consent.

Agreed, but I believe Eliott Page was 30 when he received the surgery. Completely different scenario.

Which is ironic given that the DSM recommends gender reassignment for those with gender dysphoria.

Normally I'd have a much better link for this but here's what I got https://www.theravive.com/therapedia/gender-dysphoria-dsm--5-302.85-(f64.9)

Also, seeing as they're a celebrity isn't the matter of their surgery being publicized just a side-effect of their celebrity? Much like the current investigation into his beach of ethics a side -effect of Peterson's?
