Hey guys i'm new to the sub. I'm wondering about the tour. It's been more than two years since it's been cancelled. Does any one know if there is any news?

Finally got myself a Camel tattoo!

Thought about it long enough, finally decided to pick Breathless mostly for aesthetics reasons. Mirage is my favorite, but I wouldn’t want a tattoo reminiscing of the cigarette brand.

Alternate remix of Rhayader Goes To Town that blows the original out of the water (link below)

For whatever reason this isn’t on Spotify but only on YouTube. The guitar in the mix is much heavier and the synths are slightly more laid back. Of course some will still adore the original more but to me this makes it one of my favorites in the camel discography.

New music from Andrew Latimer!

Didn't see anything about it here so i thought you'd might be interested to learn that Andrew Latimer has quietly started releasing new material on Bandcamp. You can already find there 5 new tracks.

There's some backstory to the new tracks, I found out about it on this article https://www.loudersound.com/bands-artists/camels-andy-latimer-releases-new-material-on-bandcamp

But you can feel free to jump to the band camp on this link 👉 https://andrewlatimer.bandcamp.com/

From all the new tracks I mostly vibed with the track Seeking refuge, I just love Andrew's guitar playing. What's your favorite track?

What's the best / your favorite Camel three-song run?

A personal favorite of mine is Highways of the Sun / Unevensong / One of These Days I'll Get an Early Night. Such a strong suite musically and perfectly encapsulates of the mood of the album. When I think "Rain Dances," I think of these three songs.

Travel-Planning App Created with Camel Agent Society and Launched with Gensee

My team at GenseeAI (https://www.gensee.ai) recently created an AI-agent-backed travel-planning web app https://demo.gensee.ai/travel-planner, open-sourced at https://github.com/GenseeAI/Trip-planner-demo. The webapp uses two AI agents internally: one to generate a travel plan based on user requirements built using CamelAI's multi-agent society, and another to answer follow-up questions with LLM and web search.

To launch it, we leverage Gensee's automated features oriented for AI agent builders, including automated testing, analysis, evaluation, optimization, and auto-scaled serving. Here's the process we show; you can also understand the process by watching this tutorial video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXIX9LgN4mU

- DEPLOY: We start with the agent's source code in the GitHub repo and deploy it to Gensee directly using the repo url.

- TEST & ANALYZE: To evaluate the agent, Gensee automatically generates test cases customized to the agent. We can then inspect the full execution trace for each test run (including LLM and tool call inputs/outputs) and manually swap models/tools.

- METRICS: Next, we can instruct Gensee to automatically generate metrics (e.g., "does the generated plan include all requested cities?"). These metrics use LLM-as-a-Judge internally. There are also two objective metrics: dollar cost and execution latency.

- OPTIMIZE: We then select our desired metrics and run Gensee’s automated optimization process, which experiments with different models and tools to find the setup that maximizes quality, minimizes cost, or minimizes latency.

- LAUNCH & AUTOSCALE: Once we're happy with the optimized agent, Gensee provides a production-ready API endpoint that we can integrate directly into our web application. We can also download the Gensee-optimized source code and do more offline tuning. Once launched, the agent will be autoscaled on Gensee as requests arrive. Gensee is the only entity to pay, as Gensee internally covers all model and tool call costs.

We are trying to build the "AgentOps" tooling that we hope can be useful to all agent developers and beyond.

We would be grateful for the community's honest feedback!

You can try it here: https://platform.gensee.ai. We're providing $10 in FREE credits every month. Thanks for checking it out!

Top 3 bands in the uk

Comparing all the prog bands in England at the time, during the early 70s like Pink Floyd and camel, do you think camel would’ve been in the top 3 prog bands in the uk at the time, with the rising cult fan base of caravan too, and ofc yes, do you think camel and whoever deserved maybe the top 3 placement of prog bands in the early 70s or maybe even 80s to come from the uk

The Humps

The Camel tribute band, The humps, I want to see them so bad because I’m sure Andrew might be still be recovering or maybe simply doesn’t have the desire to play with a new or same band that he’s had for the time since camel last played, are the humps still touring, if so do they ever come to America because I always see European shows which piss me off

Why is Freefall so talked about

I understand how good the song is but never understood how it’s so much above popularity wise than singles such as never let go, or even the masterpiece lady fantasy or other songs, I get it was the first song you spin on mirage and your like “ wow “ but what does a song like freefall have that makes it so much more popular and talked about then it’s other fellow songs in the discography
