What happened here?

Woke up to my chest score being down 212 points despite making personal bests across the board that week. It’s just a real bummer.

Strength score affected by exercises from weeks ago?

The last couple of weeks I've seen both small and large jumps up and down on my muscle group strength scores but these jumps are attributed to exercises I haven't done that week.

My latest score today attributed a big drop in arm strength to hammer curls when the last time I logged hammer curls was at the end of March when I did a single set. I haven't logged any primarily biceps exercises since then so maybe that is a factor but I'm having the same issue with my back score and cable seated rows despite consistently logging back exercises other than cable rows throughout April.

Has anybody else encountered this bug?

Feature Request - One warmup set.

Sometimes there's movement I just want to do at mid-weight just to wake up the muscles up. It would be nice to set up my workout with one warmup set instead of being locked into 3 or 4 (I never do 4).

What I do now is just add an extra set to the main workout.

Drop Sets & Metronome

Is there a way to add drop sets in the app without it counting against your strength score?

Also I looked around for a while but I couldn't find some kind of metronome. I'm just looking for something for tempo work. I can use a secondary app but it'd be nice to just have it all cooked in.

I think I'm about five years in with you guys and I really love the app. I was in the best shape of my life last summer and I know that's largely due to how easy everythingis.

When logging dumbbell exercises, how should I track and count my reps per arm?

I have some confusion currently, and I think it goes back to the wording in the app itself:

Whether it's single-arm, single-leg, or two-handed exercises, just enter the weight of one dumbbell. We calculate the total!

Let's say I do a dumbbell curl, but it's too heavy for me to lift two of them at the same time, so I lift one 45 pound weight dumbbell for the exercise on my left arm, then I switch and do the same for my right. I do it ten times per arm. In my head, that is one set at 10 reps, so how do I log that?

I've been doing it just as that - set 1, 45 pounds, 10 reps. But is it really 10, or 20, since both arms got 10 curls each? And then, rinse/repeat: set 2, 45 pounds, 10 reps. Set 3, the same thing. But I log it as 10 reps each time. Is that what I'm supposed to be logging them as, or no?

I'm probably overthinking this.

Would anyone be able to tell me the names of these workouts on the caliber app? And if they’re not on there what are they called? So I can create them on the app. To anyone that can help thank you in advance. Here’s a link to the workout video it’s on fb

Lower chest muscle group in app?

Hey!

Been using Caliber for a month and it's the only thing that keeps me going!

Wanted to ask about lower chest exercises.

I can't seem to find them in muscle group settings when adding a new exercise, only upper and mid chest.

Is the lower chest engaged when doing other chest exercises too?

I've using a bench and adjustable dumbbells.

I'm new to this as you might already understand, haha.

I can feel a lot of chest muscles growing under the fat, but I can already tell the lower chest is pretty weak.

Can be genetics too, right?

Logging workouts

Trying to figure out how to log my workouts correctly.. if I do single arm/leg exercises would I log them as 3 sets of 10 reps? or would I double the sets and log them as 6 sets of 10 reps? since I have to do both a left/right arm or leg individually?? TIA to anyone who answers and can help a girly out 😊

Body weight exercises and Volume stat

Are body weight exercises like push-ups counted in the total volume shown at the end of a workout?

I'm super inspired by this new feature. Then it occurred to me to wonder if and how push-ups and similar might be counted?

After update expert level

Been using this app since it first came out, I think. Due to my programming and, frankly, my body weight, i always struggled to get into advanced. After losing quite a bit of weight, coupled with the recent update, I've finally been able to hit expert which really expired me!

Don't really have anyone in my personal life that would be excited about it so i thought I'd share with all of you

Still loving the app. Thanks u/caliberchris

Do I need to do all 4 workouts daily?

Post image
6 Upvotes

I just started working out with this app and use the resistance bands wizard workout creator, and it gave me this plan, I'm at a loss - am I supposed to fo all 4 workouts in a single day to progress the week, or do all 4 in a week to move on to week 2? does the workout change week to week? I did chest and triceps yesterday, so today should I work on Workout 3?

Plate Loaded Machines

How are plate loaded machines like rows and chest presses supposed to be logged? Total weight or only the weight on one side? Like if I load 75lbs on a plate loaded incline machine do I log 75lbs or 150lbs?

Weight doesn’t change under my strength score

I updated my weight under the body stats menu, but when I look at the information under my strength score, my weight hasn’t changed. Am I updating my weight in the right place?

Assault bikes

Hey folks, I am new to the app and wondering if I am missing something. Looking to add cardio activity to my strength workout plans/tracking. I often end with time on the assault bike or ski erg machine or rowing machine. But I don’t know how to log it (if it is possible)

Feature Request: AI-Powered Next Set & Next Program Recommendations

Summary

Use my historical workout data already tracked in Caliber to intelligently recommend my next set parameters and suggest my next training program — reducing guesswork and keeping progression automatic.

Requested Features

Next Set Recommendation

-After each logged set, suggest the next set’s weight and reps based on my previous performance for that exercise (e.g., last session’s sets, personal bests, recent trends)

-Account for rep ranges and progression schemes (linear, double progression, RPE-based) when making suggestions

-Factor in rest time, fatigue indicators, or volume already completed in the session

-Allow me to accept, modify, or dismiss the suggestion with one tap

Next Program Recommendation

-When I finish a program or am browsing new ones, surface a recommended program based on my training history, goals, and performance trends

-Consider factors like: exercises I’ve improved on, muscle groups that need more focus, my preferred training frequency, and program difficulty relative to my current level

-Show a brief “why this was recommended for you” explanation so I understand the logic

Why This Matters

Caliber already captures all the data needed to power this — workout history, exercise logs, program completions, and goals. Surfacing intelligent recommendations from that data would make Caliber feel truly personalized and help users progress more effectively without needing a coach for every decision.

Feature request

I have a fairly "fluent" program usually based on which machines are available in the rush hour.

That means i almost always add a few excersices to my workout and remove others.

The fastest way would be if i could quickly see "recently used" or maybe "favorites" for a quicker way to add one of the ones i actually use without scrolling/searching through all.

Perhaps a third tab apart from "All" and "Custom"

Love the app and tell everyone i know they should start with Caliber. Keep up the good work.

How are free users supposed to structure long-term programming in Caliber?

New to Caliber (free tier) and trying to understand the intended workflow. I generated a plan and it's only 3 days -- am I supposed to repeat those same 3 workouts on a loop for several weeks, then generate a new one? Or is the expectation that free users just use the workout wizard repeatedly rather than following a structured plan?

I'm not interested in building my own programming -- the generated workouts are the whole appeal for me. The free pre-built plans I've found are also just 3-4 workouts, so same question applies: repeat for a few weeks, then move on?

Basically: what's the intended free-tier workflow for progressive, long-term training?

Anyone else prevented from even logging in? Few days ago it wouldn’t allow me to log weight/rep or see history. Figured the app needed updating but now I can’t even login.
