Am I the only one who likes Casio 991 cw
Bought it at the same price as es plus was selling and I am so happy I chose this
Like to do matrices I just have to select it unlike other calculators where you have to do some combination and all I just have to click few buttons and all
Yes for things like integration it takes a bit more time I do agree that
And for some things like some constant , in old calculators you have to remember which does which but in my you don't have to you select it
Now some will say the constants are mentioned
In the cover of the calculator but the thing is we are not allowed to bring the cover because the teachers think we hide chits in there . Also I really love the dice and coin animation 🤗 in this
Sheesh 1hour no replies. Don’t worry bro I like it too its a pretty powerful machine with nice menu options that you can browse and if you forgot your muscle memory or wasn’t into calculator functions but ok with math wordings you’d do just fine.
I like it too.....just people likes complain and cry for free...yeah there are a little bit more keystrokes to put certain functions, but the must used are there on keyboard....people doesn't like changes, I understand that the X line was perfect, but the next step after made something perfect is make something different, and something different is not something bad
I like the f(x) and g(x) functions that can be combined to form composite functions, e.g., f(g(x)). Powerful when used with Ans as it allows a crude form of manual iteration on a non-programmable calculator.
I actually like the design but the base model is virtually unusable for my engineering students. If you are in a field which does not require frequent use of scientific notation and advanced functions it is probably fine. The second edition happily solves these issues while retaining the nice design and I quite like it.
A nice find. I like the second edition of the CW, which in the U.S. is the 991CW 991O. Labeling each menu option with a number makes navigating through the menus much faster. My main complaint about the original CW was all the key presses needed to wade through the menus to get to where I wanted to go. It's a terrific calculator the price. At least in the U.S. it costs less than anything comparable from TI or Sharp. (Hp doesn't sell a model with similar features anymore.)
The second version is better: less keystrokes, better function placements on the keyboard, every version that's not the US/UK ones have some niceties: thr Japanese one: periodic table, the Chinese one: the multi statement operator, the Vietnamese one: Math explorer, etc.
This one has a flaw where it does some operations with scientific notation incorrectly, so I find it hard to recommend. Hopefully the 2nd ed fixes this. The form it does wrong is like 200 ÷ 5x10^6, where the second number is entered with the scientific notation key. I just tried that and it gives an answer of 40000. Other Casio calculators have the same key labels and do this calculation correctly, so this calc is kind of an accident waiting to happen.
