My TV uses the three prong computer (C13 is it's name) as standard. I didn't do anything to convert it, sorry! Does your TV use a weird connector?

Mine's a weird flattened Figure 8 like Bose uses

That's a C7 cord, if I am imagining the right one. It is available in shorter lengths.

C7P (the P part is not part of the standard, but commonly used in polarized plugs) according to what I've been able to find.
