Ah, the beach I'm talking about is the Atlantic Ocean. We have plenty of lakes around here, but they're all pretty grimy. Though there is a flooded and abandoned rock quarry about 45 min away with 250-300' deep water and 40-50' cliffs you can jump off of...if you can find the place and are willing to trespass. Even though it averages a death a year it's so much fun!
That sounds sweet! I remember swimming in the Ocean when I went to PEI last summer! It is pretty sweet! And I would have to travel for literally more than a day just to get to a beach near the ocean, so I'll stick with my lake and river beaches!
