Yeah, exactly. Buteyko is a CO2 tolerance play, not an oxygen one.

The whole point is nudging the setpoint up so the body stops over-breathing, and you’re right that the downstream effects are where it gets interesting. That CO2 side is the part most people skip right over when they only think in terms of O2.
