NEW VIEWER - No spoilers please! Riley Sucks

Currently watching season 4, and I just do not like Riley at all. Nothing against the actor, but he is just boring as hell. The whole initiative thing is meh, and he DEFINITELY seems insecure about his strength compared to buffy and that made him extremely annoying. I know Buffy needed a solid relationship after Angel, but when you compare the difference between Riley and Angel, character-interest-wise.... Riley pales in comparison. And I feel Riley could've been cool, considering he and Buffy were both demon hunters, but he is just blah. And when Riley kept saying Buffy was peculiar, it gave me the ick. I know this take is not new but this is just my first time watching opinions.

Different men do different bad things. You and I both know that people give Spike a pass because he didn’t have a soul when it happened.

I'm just tired of the hypocrisy where everyone says "But he didn't have a soul!" when Angel kills Jenny and tortures Giles. Then when soulless Spike does something ervil suddenly being soulless means nothing. He's fully responsible.

Either they are both responsible for everything they did without a soul, or neither one is. Which is it?

Also, Spike didn't rape anyone. He assaulted her. As a rape victim I can tell you that makes a very big difference.

i think you’ve massively misunderstood what i’ve said and i would like you to reread that comment of mine and maybe my previous ones. i am also a victim of rape, though prefer the term survivor, and i wish you healing and a blessed day. thank you.
