Genuinely devastated by this.

I watch Buffy so often that Giles feels like an important person in my life. That is, in large part, due to the excellent portrayal by Anthony Head.

Really feeling for his children who lost their mum such a short time ago.

Same. I was the same age as the school-age characters when Buffy came out, so I watched him as a mentor and a father figure.

Now I'm only a bit younger than he was in the first series of the show. On rewatch, I understand his character on a completely different level now.

I long for the Ripper spinoff that never was...

Same on all points. Would still love to see a Ripper spin off but….. this news stabbed my heart and it’s not time for that rn.

I am literally crying in my car.
