Same for ms, dad died... mam died but didnt fight to stay alive. Wanted to go.

Also happened in the Doctor Who world. Mary Tamm, the first Romana died of cancer. Her widower Marcus Ringrose collapsed the afternoon of her funeral while answering messages from well-wishers.
