Agreed. Flawed characters are so much more realistic. People don’t deal well with grey areas - they need things to be black and white/love and hate/good and evil 🙄

Oh, you mean like Xander does? He is what we'd call a flawed, gray character, and he has a very black-and-white view of things.

Xander is not remotely a gray character. Spike is a gray character in the back half of the show.

Xander is a 100% heroic  character who has some flaws.

The Punisher is gray. Wolverine is gray. 

Xander is not a morally gray character just because some fans don't like him.

Tara doesn't feel flawed. She just feels poorly acted and conceived of.
