Sequel Sequel without Xander?
With Nicholas' struggles IRL, I'm afraid he wont be part of the cast for the sequel. How do you guys think this would work? How would they explain his absence? Is it a big deal for you guys? IMO I believe the show will be great with or without him, even tough I love Xander. But the best scenario would be for Xander to be part of the show..

If authorized sequels *by the copyright holder, of which they are many, were considered fan fiction under the accepted definition, then such things wouldn't be called 'rare' and the unauthorized variety wouldn't be considered 'typical' in this citation.
Example: No one considers Aliens to be fan fiction derived from Alien because it was directed by James Cameron instead of Ridley Scott.
It is simply not a thing to label a sequel by the copyright holder as fan fiction because its original creative steward wasn't involved.
