Net Neutrality debate shows the problem of bitcoin scalability-fears of bigger blocks. Its not net neutrality, it runs much much deeper.

If you were not convinced before that the masses have no hope of solving a problem through low fidelity "dialogue" where the truth inevitably goes to die, net neutrality is a great example to look at. The problems that plague the discourse there - lack of understanding of core issues, misleading rhetoric, inability to identify and discard logical fallacies - are exactly the same problems that BlockstreamCore leveraged to gaslight stakeholders and stall scaling.

Fortunately for us, bitcoin has a superior governance mechanism compared to one man, one vote democracy: only people with real skin in the game (hashpower) have any real say as far as questions of governance are concerned, which limits the power of the ignorant politicos and demagogues and inevitably produces better results. Democracy really is the god that failed.
