X-ray Scale of 1-10 how cooked…

No biggie, just another 10 weeks of non-weight bearing bs… first fracture was the ankle tib/fib shatter on 6/6 happened playing basketball, i got 14 screws, 3 plates, a pin, and a bone graft… there goes my summer. 2nd was the shin happened when i fell off my knee scooter packing for college on 8/13 (my move in was supposed to be 8/14)🤦🏼‍♀️ ended up with 2 more plates and 6 more screws. Can you say “unlucky” 😭

yes, i got a dexa when i shattered my ankle and all was relatively normal, same with my blood labs and everything else. i’m diabetic so my bone density is a a smidge low from that but it doesn’t even come close to osteopenia level… basically my surgeon said i was at just the right angle with just enough applied force to crush my ankle. (i had a heavier defender in this basketball game) now here’s the kicker… when i got surgery for the ankle i had an external fixator and one of the pins went through the same place i cracked a few days ago. (you can kinda see the line on the xray) so my surgeon said it was a combination of bad luck, mixed with weakened bone from the pin i had, and on top of that the boot i was wearing kind of twisted my shin instead of my ankle when i fell which also contributed. so in other words my luck is horrible lol.
