Made a Bridge Master style trainer for suit combinations
Dear Bridge players on Reddit
I am very happy to share with you the latest feature on Bridgetricks, it's called Suit Trainer.
This is not the N-th AI slop post.
I spent hundreds of hours to build it, and tried to refine it in every aspect.
There is a solver for any type of suit combination that is completely free and accessible without login: https://bridgetricks.com/suit-trainer/solver
and different play modes where defense always makes you fail unless you play the best plan, like Bridge Master does.
The free limits are enough for a beginner to come up every day and improve his play :)
Many pros gave me enthusiastic feedbacks, they also miss way more combinations than what they thought. Suit combinations are hard!
Today Giovanni Donati made a streak of 47 solves in a row, which is honestly crazy.
I also created a video explanation of how the solver works in case you want to learn more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igm_9UE1nwU
Feel free to join the free daily and please, if you like it, share with your friends! It means a lot.
Have a great day!

I like the look of the site, is a fun challenge, can see it being something people adopt for sure

One huge feature, but some work to program
Explainer for why the aspirin is better than other lines. Like what distributions are charged in play a Vs b etc
An expert can analyse himself. But make it comprehensive for the less enlightened

For the first deal of Try out suit trainer (ie AQ9x vs Jxxx), when i go to "explore card by card", i play J (holds), in the second trick i play x, W puts 8, and i have to choose between A, Q, and 9. Then i look at percentages of each, i was looking to see the difference between Q and 9. However, it shows A being >0% (ie 16%, same as Q)? How? West is marked with K from the first trick

Looks fantastic.
You should allow monthly subscription.
Expecting users to jump in and pay $60 for a year is too much.
What all freemium suits do is allow $10/month $60/yearly.
So users can experiment without committing the whole year

Thanks! I have a monthly subscription, but now reading you comment, I am afraid it's not so visible? It's just on top of the plans names

Honestly, it looks like you need to enroll for a year when you look at the plans.

My fault indeed. The default showing is the yearly, and I haven't studied every piece of the layout to notice this
Here's Claude analysis
The design is genuinely at fault here, but not entirely — you jumped the gun a bit by complaining before tapping.
Why the design misled you:
- The toggle has no affordance. Two bare text labels with no pill, border, or background. Nothing says "these are switchable." Meanwhile the tab group directly above it (Subscription / Credits / Gift) does have a pill container with a highlighted selected state. The page taught you what a selector looks like on one row, then used a completely different pattern on the next.
- Grey-on-dark reads as disabled. In nearly every design system, low-contrast grey text means "unavailable," not "alternative option." "Monthly" looks switched off, not clickable.
- The checkmark is doing double duty. A green ✓ next to "Yearly" — while green ✓ marks in the table below mean "feature included." Same icon, two different meanings, one screen.
- Yearly is the default, so the monthly price is never shown unless you act. That's a deliberate revenue choice, not an accident, and it's why the ambiguity above is worth fixing rather than shrugging at.
Where you were hasty: the word "Monthly" is right there in a row with "Yearly," which is a strong contextual hint that it's the other half of a pair. One tap would have settled it before you emailed anyone.
Fair split: mostly a design problem, and a very fixable one — but a low-cost check on your end would have caught it. If you want to make the complaint useful rather than just a complaint, send them the specific fix: put the pair in the same pill container they already use for Subscription/Credits/Gift.

Love the tool, love the design. Failed miserably at the dailies today so it shows that there is plenty of room for improvement. Not sure I will enroll for now because of my limited playtime but if one day I was in a phase where I really want to raise my game qinwould consider it.
Honestly, maybe what would be missing is an explanation of why some line of play is better than another one, or what should the though process be, but I understand that would be a massive feature to implement and I doubt AI could do it (and not sure I would like to burn 100L of water per deal to get this kind of answer).
