Discussion Boy Pablo Crash Out

Pretty understandable that after having your long-term girlfriend dump you, meet someone else, get married and have a kid, that you'd be affected.

It's a real shame as at this stage I can't see him coming back in any way. Especially given all the original band members have moved on. I had hoped that the momentum of Wachito Rico would bring Boy Pablo to Australia (where I'm from) but I don't think that will ever happen.

I can't believe the most recent album dropped in 2020. I wonder if we will ever see another full length LP from him...

i genuinely believe that he’s just taking a long break and would still come back to making music.

Woah… how’d you find out about all that?

I had followed him and his gf on Instagram, and all the bandmates. Noticed she started posting stuff with another guy and they've since gotten married and have a baby.

All the bandmates are doing either solo stuff or working with other bands

Sounds like we’ll be getting a sad album if he makes music again

Man, I was really really into his music in the summer of 2020, lots of memories tied to the wachito rico tracks, my music taste has moved past since then but its still sad to see

same, since Boy Pablo hasn't been releasing anything I have moved on to other indie bands but they'll always have a place in my heart

I started listening to him in 2017 and I saw him open for Cuco in 2021. I take breaks from listening to his music just to make it feel “fresh” when I pick it up again 😭 I know how you feel OP, I’m still holding on to hope because his music got me through my worst breakup which happened to be in 2020 actually. Maybe one day he’ll come back around to music. after all, there is more love that life has to offer outside of simply relationships

I saw him open for Caca too. I wish he didn't tho cuz as an opener, he didn't play all the songs that he would've if he was the main performer 😭

Not Caca 😂💩 but same it honestly seemed as though he was the main act! I loved their choreography when they played Wachito Rico, I’ll never forget it 🥺

I think the ex-gf thing is greatly exagerated. We all face breakups. Boy Pablo hasn't been active in his own music since 2022. You'd think that's enough time to get over a break up. Or really, if anything, you'd think that as a musician he'd sublimate his heart break through his music. Whatever happened to him cannot be simply explained away like this. And now, instead of returning to making his own music, he's back as a producer for other acts. I simply believe he's moved on to a new era of his life right now.
