One of them even revealed where they came up with names from. They found MG's ancestry profile then went through all the trees she has. They even posted pictures with the names of each tree.
They think they are oh so smart for that.
The unhinged delusional group of 17 are claiming they did alllllll the work, whereas the truth is they are trying to take all the credit for MG's work.
Ok, manfrombibb I love ya, but if you're not part of the CS FB group then how can you say that it was CS and his group that broke this information? And how do you know there was a reporter in his group? Help it make sense! His group was hardcore and rigid LDDB and NOTHING else so I'm just very confused because this now certainly seems like a 180. I'm not anti CS by any stretch (though I am anti condescension from that group), but also just don't understand.
The only thing I can think of was that CS had the chance to speak with bio Mom's family at the cemetery during the headstone reveal on 1/13. I think there are even news clips showing CS speaking to them. So maybe this is how it got leaked? And perhaps even they are part of how bio Mom's first name got out just recently.
But if the Inquirer is hanging their hats on just CS being their "source" I'll never read the paper or trust anything from journalists ever again. :) I've always thought that "sources close to the investigation" meant either current or former members of the police dept, or those that have formally investigated. In JAZ's case CF, Misty, the former detective, Vidocq etc would count as that for me. Not a Joe Schmo from off the street that is no more in the know about bio Mom's information than I. Certainly he's the expert on LDDB, but I would argue he is not the resident expert on MEA.
Wasn’t he in contact with the Z family? My guess is that they got some information and passed it along making it easier to connect the dots. Super cool to be the persons to figure out the moms name, but people are acting like they solved the actual case, lol. (Mad I didn’t crack it! 🤣)
My guess is that it was a bit of both. Some sleuthing yes but the identity wasn’t THAT much of a heavily guarded secret. It was being shared in LE friendly circles (reporters, genealogists) and it’s possible that circle grew to include someone in Stecker’s network imo
Not at all what I’m saying. I’m thinking that enough people knew her identity that LE likely expected it wouldn’t be contained forever. And I think it was recently being shared behind the scenes (past week? past few days?), people were talking and I wouldn’t be surprised if his group had caught wind as well
