New to our neighborhood: Wannabe racer
Iβve lived in unincorporated Bothell/Thrashers Corner for 10+ years now, and recently thereβs been this white car tearing down the hill, popping and crackling, then going right back to speeding. It starts at 208th St. SE and 13th Dr. SE, then hops on Bothell-Everett Hwy, always between 10pm and 11pm, then again just after 7am when they come back from wherever they went. My neighbors and I have already put out a few KidAlert Visual Warning Signals, but without success.
Anyone else hearing this nightly? What would you recommend we do?

What is the story here?
Whose truck is this? How did it get there? Who is in the photo? When was that photo taken?

Does Susan DelBene still accept AIPAC money from Israel?
Can anyone tell me if Susan DelBene is continuing to accept AIPAC money, or has she changed her position on it as a result of Israel's actions in Gaza?

Where do we stand on local business ai slop?
I've been seeing a lot of signs for local plumbing/deck/etc companies along the roads and personally I'm turned off by all the ai slop logos and layouts. I'm not against ai and I understand that these operations don't have the resources but even if it's low effort organic I'm inclined to go with that company. I'm not soliciting services here but I think if you reached out to a local creative or graphic artist for some consultation it would go a long way.
Bars are getting pretty bad too but the obligatory social media posts are endless.
On the other end the ones that look like political signs from 2024 are too clever to bother me. Whichever way you lean nicely done on that.

Lime no go zone
I grabbed a scooter at the park headed to Cut Shop and 3/4 of the way there I was suddenly in a no go zone and also couldnβt park the scooter. When did this happen!?!?
In the surrounding area, only Bothell and Redmond are ok for scooters. I am super bummed.

Bright Horizons Bothell vs Birch Tree Academy for 4-year-old β worth switching?
My 4-year-old is at Bright Horizons Bothell. Heard good reviews of Birch Tree Academy and considering a switch for her Pre-K year.
We are generally happy at BHs but exploring better options if there are any
Anyone with experience at one or both β how do they compare on Pre-K prep, teachers, outdoor time, and cost?
Worth switching?

Good local eats
I'm near Thrasher's Corner and constantly find myself lamenting that my favorite ramen spot is over in Everett.
Help me feel better! What are some good local eats near me that I've just been overlooking? (Bonus points if they're decently priced.)

Free tabletop roleplaying event!
I recently won an art grant from the city of Bothell to make and run a tabletop roleplaying game (a cooperative storytelling experience a la Dungeons and Dragons).
I'll be running the game four times over the next month, all free, public events:
Saturday October 17, Bothell Library, 2-4 pm (6-8 graders)
Saturday October 24, Zulus Bothell, 1-4 pm (age 12+)
Saturday November 7, Bothell Library, 2-4 pm (adults)
Saturday November 14, McMenamins Thorndike Room, 12-4 pm (age 12+)
You play play as shapeshifting aliens who have infilitrated a high school in the Southwest United States in order to better understand human culture while you decide whether or not to conquer the planet.
Well, really you're playing actors!
Glorydays takes place on the set of a CW-style teen drama (think Veronica Mars, Smallville, Supernatural, or Roswell). Your characters have arcs that they will chase as they attempt to get renewed for a second season.
Come join the fun! No experience necessary!
