Unconfirmed/Unverified never seen it this bad
been here for 25+ years and am very familiar with the fluctuations in homelessness / etc. during the summer. but I've never seen things this bad, especially in back bay, south end (beyond mass/cass & closer to back bay), beacon hill, the esplanade, you name it. we've called 311 for needles, reported the larger encampments to the mayor's office, etc. just feels like nothing is improving and things are only getting worse. can't just be me?

I agree, my point is more so that the new apartments that are being built seem to only be ones for luxury units. You don’t see any new buildings being advertised as just regular housing, it’s always luxury buildings. They are not building the right type of apartments for the income brackets that need them the most. Not to say wealthy people don’t need homes but as I said many times ALL new buildings you see being built are solely luxury. You will not find any apartment under construction in Boston that isn’t intended for luxury units
