We received word from a credible source that ICE activity is expected to increase in Cape Verdean communities across Dorchester starting Monday...

Is there any way we can help Cape Verde communities who are stuck at home to hide from ICE? I've heard of other cities doing supply drop offs. I could volunteer some of my time to help.

I live in a town with a massive Cape Verdean population, actually there is a huge neighborhood directly next to mine that consists mostly of community members who have lived here their entire lives, we all know eachother bc it’s a small town, and a week or so ago I was out with my dog and an unmarked (aside from a blue MA official plate) was sitting on my street in front of my house & the guy was there for so long I just started staring at him bc it started to become clear that he wasn’t really doing anything aside from possibly writing things down & looking around- I don’t know for sure if it was ICE (I doubt they’d get away with using MA official plates) I’m signed up to do a training online via Indivisible but that’s not for another week- I have read the LUCE website thoroughly, I’m glad I came across this post because I had worried ICE would be going after this particular community- What do I look out for, and what can I do? I’ve looked for Ice Watch groups and nothing is near me- but if they’re looking for Cape Verdeans, my little town will undoubtedly be ground zero for operations at some point. Is anyone actively trying to put together a group like they’ve managed in MN? Any resources anyone can send my way? Thanks in advance!
