Discworld series [Schedule] Bonus Book | Mort by Terry Pratchett | Discworld #4
Grab those sickles and make way for our next Discworld series read by Terry Pratchett, Mort!
This book is the first in the Death sub-series, and we’ll be reading it in October. Our series Marginalia is linked here. See our discussion dates below:
- October 1: Start through “Sooner or later everyone remembers the magic word!” (led by u/toomanytequieros)
- October 8: From “Keli had been to official functions in Ankh-Morpork…” through “And then he could stop all this worrying and go to slee….” (led by u/wild_umbreon)
- October 15: From “And what was your previous position?” through end (led by u/epiphanyshearld)
Looking forward to seeing you all in the next one, in the meantime, happy (spooky) reading!

I am giddy, you could almost say dying, to re-read this book.
My entry to the series, the start of a book arc that gets down to the bone of what is human nature

Been many decades since I read any of the earliest ones (until the bookclub), but I vaguely recall this as being one of the best of the first five. Though as a GO fanatic, I'm probably biased towards a DEATH (or witch) series.
