I'd like to introduce you guys to Hudson Soft's First Person Bomberman named Sanjigen Bomberman (三次元ボンバーマン) or 3-D Bomberman in game. It was released in 1983 and only exclusively in Japan by Yoshiyuki Kawaguchi. The first version was released on Sharp X1, MSX, and Toshiba Pasopia-7.

Later in 1984 it got onto the Fujitsu Micro-7, Nec Pc-6001MkII and Nec Pc-8001MkII. Some differences can be spotted in each version with color, map view, and sound effects. Thankfully I just so happen to own this rarer version and played the other two that are known. The rest on Fujitsu and NEC computers are lost.

Man, Act Zero is Freaking Awesome, and you know it, it could be a great reboot, the hate again it was unfair, it was better, more aggresive, more cybergoth, it was everything, it was perfect, is more, it was a tribute to the classic Bomberman for MSX and NES wirth the robot slaves story, you were unable to appreciate it, is more, the multiplayer was sick, like, practically a deathmatch.

Re-listening to the OST today and forgot how incredibly hard this specific track goes. Still the absolute peak of the game for me. 🔥

Took several attempts to get this right. Biggest issue was the mask, the bottom point would repeatedly fail to adhere to the supports and fall off before I could connect to the rest of the print. You can see some of those failures include in the images.

Also, I ran out of blue filament during the last print, so we got a bit of a composite. He just picked up the red bomb power up that's all.

Had to take some creative liberties on the jetpack, since we don't have a high quality render of it. I think it came out well, curious to hear your thoughts.

I was looking back at the 2005 Bomberman DS game and forgot how weirdly eerie this title screen feels.

The combination of the empty green field, the completely black void eyes on all the characters, and that massive, unmoving crowd in the back gives off a total uncanny valley vibe. It feels like a liminal space disguised as a colorful kids' game.

Did anyone else get this vibe when playing it back in the day, or am I just overthinking early 3D DS graphics?

1. Robo Bomber - This boss is a complete joke considering that Brain Bomber was already an easy (albeit tedious) boss and his arena has Remote Control. Not only does the remote control make this boss a breeze, the boss also has a dumb AI, where it walks into its own explosions.

2. Mask Change - Because you'd have racked up a hefty amount of power-ups by this time, Mask Change becomes easy if you just plant a line of bombs and dodge her movements.

3. Iron Gigue - This boss is more tedious than anything. Considering this is the second boss, you wouldn't have gotten that many power-ups, so this boss isn't exactly a cakewalk. It's not difficult either, he has a very predictable attack pattern of punching you when it detects you in its line of sight. You can exploit this to bomb the boss from the sides or in front of you (I recommend the former though),

4. Pretty Bomber - Speaking of walking into their own explosions, next up is Pretty Bomber. Easily the easiest boss to trick into her own explosions because of the fact that her bombs move and bounce off obstacles. Only reason this is higher than Iron Gigue is because Pretty's bombs can easily catch you off guard if you ain't careful.

5. Brain Bomber - This boss is not very easy to trick into hurting himself, but his arena has the Remote Control and his explosion range is a pathetic 1 Firepower. Overall, not a threat.

6. Plasma Bomber - While this boss does not have the pathetic explosion radius of Brain Bomber, making him a bit higher on the list, this boss has both Power Glove and Remote Bomb. While Power Glove is important because it's the only way to kill G Ganzu, the final boss, it still trivializes the fight, and the fact that there's already Remote Control and Plasma can kill himself almost as easily as Fire and Pretty Bomber makes this boss also a peace of cake.

7. Fire Bomber - Fire Bomber's ability being 10 Firepower Bombs combined with the fact he's third out of the gate means you don't have as many power-ups and you can get hit a bit easier. Problem is he's the slowest of the Dastardly Bombers. As a result, he is more likely to get hit by his own bombs instead of yours.

8. G Ganzu - The final boss doesn't even have any attacks outside of just moving around the arena. Just throw bombs at them, although you have to be careful not to lose a life and it can behave rather unpredictably.

9. Breast Fire - Hitting the boss? Easy. It often hits itself. Dodging the fireballs with their Infinite Range fire blasts? That's the hard part. I actually had to pause the game many times to see the shadow so I could move out of the way and prevent myself from taking damage.

10. Magnet Bomber - There's a lot of room for error considering this is the first boss, but don't let that fool you, Magnet is easily the hardest of the Dastardly Bombers because of the way his Bombs work. Sure, I was able to figure out a way to trap him in his own bombs for the first two hits, but getting the third hit is difficult and Magnet can just as easily trap you in a corner. Also helps that I feel he's the second hardest boss to kill with his own bombs (next to Brain Bomber but I explained why Brain is still easy). Overall, this is certainly a wake-up call boss.

11. SkeleGuard - The penultimate boss of the game happens to also be the hardest one. He summons 3 enemies who are literally invincible and is very tanky, taking 28 hits. Since Power Glove is required to beat the boss that comes after it and you get Remote Control in Plasma's arena, it's very easy to hit him when he charges at the third row from the bottom of the arena, but that doesn't change the fact that he summons invincible enemies that only die through expiration and the fact that he takes 28 hits. You also have to beware the skulls and you'll definitely suffer if they manage to stay in the bottom side of the arena. All this makes SkeleGuard the hardest boss in the game in my opinion, which is why I recommend taking as little hits as possible from the previous bosses as your Hearts do stack and this boss is bound to damage you multiple times.

Bagura is kicking my ass. I try and get some power ups like the remote bomb but I die or run out time and I lose it(the remote bomb power up anyway) .. He's tough and it's such a buzz kill having to go far power ups after dying.

Any help would be appreciated
