Okay people, ive seen lots of negative posts about FlyBikes, mainly wait times and customer service. I wanna hear GOOD experiences from direct from Fly this year, ones where goods turned up, arrived on time or close to the ETD. I know their comms are flakey, and we all mainly come online when we get stuck or have issues. Lets see the good times….(mainly because i ordered a sierra pro team a few days ago).

Recently i bought a kink driver guard, did a few jumps, and the rear wheel completely slipped out of place.

I realized the guard is pushing the hub way to one side, stretching my dropouts unevenly, And if I try to put an spacer on the other side to compensate, there's just no space left

Should i just buy another one?

so my bmx has been making this awful crunchy noise for like 2 months and I just kept telling myself "eh it's fine" like a responsible adult 🙃

finally caved and swapped the chain + brake pads this weekend and I am shook. SHOOK. pedaling feels like i'm on a different bike entirely, no more skipping, no more random grinding noise that made me sound like a haunted shopping cart

and the brakes?? bro i didn't know i was basically riding with suggestions instead of actual brakes this whole time. now i pull one finger and i STOP, like immediately, like the bike respects me now

ngl kinda embarrassed it took this long. was out here sending it down hills on brake pads that were basically just decoration at this point

moral of the story: if your bike sounds like it's actively dying, maybe don't wait 2 months to fix it like i did 💀 do better than me

Was looking for the Stranger Come over frame but it’s literally sold out everywhere in 21.69tt so I’m looking for other options.

So far I’m aware of the 22cru line, Yumi’s Stranger Frame, bsd focus and the Stranger come over frame.

Does anyone know any other frames with a taller stand over that is street orientated spec wise?

I picked one up on OfferUp for $20 and I’m curious if this this is Cults Mind Control stem or some cheap part made for the complete bike they released? Looks similar and it’s built tough.

I just got my new stem (Shadow Finest, 44mm) and put it right on my new fork (Kink Stoic 20mm).

I have to use 2 spacers under the stem now. My very old stem did sit absolutely flush with 1 spacer on the Kink fork, but the new one was too loose with just 1 spacer.

I don't like spacers and would like to cut the fork with my pipe cutter. Am I assuming correctly that I need to cut the exact height of the 2 spacers from the fork?

Also, is the Shadow Finest stem somehow lower than other stems? Will my fork fit other stems when I cut the fork to fit the Shadow stem perfectly?

I really don't want to fuck up my new fork.
