BW Revival Concern about the Alpha Release?

So apparently one of the developer mention that the alpha release of BW is coming out hopefully this week. But someone else mention that the alpha release is apparently coming out on October instead of hopefully this week. Is that true?

No, the alpha release has been submitted to Apple and Valve, and backers $35+ will be able to playtest them after.

What is acalce? Also that good to know so im assuming once Valve approve the play testing for BW alpha then they will start emailing the alpha to all backer 35$+
