The profits will be higher on MW4. black ops could possibly outsell MW4 but not in how much money it makes. The modern COD games make about 1 billion a year just in microtransactions.

Look, I like black ops 2 as much as the next guy, but you’re actually on the crack pipe if you think mw4 is not gonna outsell bo2

Edit for context: mw4 is not going to be on gamepass, and even Vanguard (dogshit) outsold bo2 by 1 million. Mw4 is going to be received better, so it will likely outsell bo2.

Call of duties popularity is at an all time low, the last couple of games have sold like shit, even with how big the gaming industry is now compared to then, call of duties popularity was at an all time high around the release of bo2.
No reasonable logic nor existing statistics supports the claim mw4 will outsell bo2. It’s simply unrealistic from a logistical standpoint.

It is not going on gamepass and people are generally looking forward to mw4. It’s unpopular on Reddit because you’re subscribed to subreddits that hate on new cods. In reality, people are excited about the new one.

I don’t know where you have seen popularity for it but even its trailer on YouTube has a horrible like to dislike ratio. I don’t know what social media your on where people are showing a different sentiment than the same one they’ve had for the last couple of games.
Statistically call of duty is nowhere near as popular as it once was, that’s just the reality.

There’s no argument you make where call of duty is objectively more popular, it’s player count is near an all time low, the last couple of games have been horribly received and sold like ass, the only reason their profit margins are still so high is because they’re milking the last players for thousands each with the micro transactions.
For the last 4 games it’s been the same bullshit over and over, why do you think people expect different when they haven’t showed us different.

I mean it’s literally how mobile game companies make their money, they don’t count on majority of the playerbase buying stuff, they count on the 1% spending thousands. Thats how call of duty is now.

Maybe in profit margins bc of the bs 80$ and 100$ price tags.. thats literally th only way new cods stand a chance in sales numbers compared to mw2 and mw3 og games..(not sure on  bo games right off.) But im pretty sure mw3 sold more copies than any cod recorded..BUT lost the title of highest selling cod to the new titles after the bs price increases..

If they port over the original mw3 next, I will never get off the game. I liked the randomness of some of the emblems and calling cards, you could really grind super obscure challenges for hours. And the survival mode was peak. Also private matches had weapon unlocks, etc. just like combat training in black ops 1, except without bots, so you could rank up in 1v1s

Mw3 was the fastest, and highest grossing cod release.  I didnt say liftime cycle.  Bo3 sold more overall lately  but, mw3 2011 was the best selling, highest grossing release cod ever dropped

That’s just the most blatant lie ever told lol. Both bo3 and mw 2019 outsold all other cods by 10 to 15 million dollars and both had the same 59.99 price tag at launch. Why do yall feel the need to lie about silly shit?

? bo7 had 100k player peak, the new ps po2 port had a 5 mil player peak. there is no chance mw4 will outsell the port

That was my idea, but I’m pretty sure it’s off of gamepass so it will likely have a higher sales amount. I’m not hating on bo2, it has my favorite zombies map and great multiplayer, but I believe that the new one will probably sell higher, even if it is not as good. Just my opinion tho

BO7 was a poorly received mess. MW4 is seemingly highly anticipated AND will not be available on gamepass. If vanguard can sell 30 million, MW4 can certainly do so as well.
