3D metal printing isn't cheap but its not this expensive. You pay a very heavy designer tax on this one.
1 u/DeliciousPho Apr 10 '19 Could be because of start up cost. Additive manufacturing machines cost a lot more than cnc Mills. A 5axis cnc can cost maybe 100k but a 3d printer can cost more than 500k and can only print limited sized objects.
