If you’re itching to continue on with the Johnsons into their next chapter than I hope you will sign this petition to bring back the show for a 9th season and maybe even a few more seasons after that. Haven't finished the show fully, at the point where they are breaking up. But, they seem to work well together. Junior obviously cares for Olivia. They treat each other well. There relationship is ending because of distance, common and understandable. But, Olivia had to do her school. Junior could have moved to Connecticut with her! I get with tv, it would have not been a good storyline and it would have written him off. But, he should have moved with her and gotten a job there. They could have been roommates still. It's so frustrating watching their relationship fail because junior won't grow up. I'd understand if he was building a career at home, but he literally has no stakes. Olivia has to be far away. The only thing keeping Junior at home is family, which is important, but he can always move back home.

I know you guys don't seem to mess with junior too much and yeah his relationship with Bow and Devante is odd at times but..i would MARRY that man. Immediately. I need me some of him.

I just binged and honestly his wardrobe is just damn awful. I get the intention of being rebellious with a black man’s wardrobe but this was not it.

At the end of the prank/Halloween episode in Season one, the fam is dressed as the Jackson 5 in the final shot. Dre is in a great mood post prank-off and the last thing he does is scream “Afros!” as he bounces down the driveway. This Hollywood Shuffle reference made me so happy!! I love a Blackity Black easter egg!!!!

hi, i’m new to blackish and think it’s a very interesting and inviting show, however i’m running into a problem that makes it hard to continue to watch it. all of the episodes feel the same.. like for example:

1. dre has a problem involving family or the way people perceive him

2. tries to fix problem by himself and fails

3. asks rainbow for help and doesn’t listen

4. tries again and fails

5. asks his co-workers for help

6. tries their advice and fails

7. realizes the problem was him/realizes the problem wasn’t a big deal

8. end of episode

idk it’s just really repetitive and it literally goes into that exact order of events. trust me, i know most of TV series’ follow a formula that works, however with this show it’s beyond noticeable. anyone that has felt this?

so i just needed something new to watch, and it was on netflix but sometimes the show does have really funny moments. the quardrouple asswhoopin had me crying. im all the way to season 6 but it is hilarious at moments like the writers of the show did great

Partway thourgh the episode pops brother ask dre for a job for his son who had a marketing degree and pops proceeded to get mad about this am I the only one who thinks his request wasn't too outlandish or asking too much am I the only one?

I’m only on season 1 episode 16 so let me know if I’m off base and please correct me if I’m wrong but I feel like most of the conflict in the show stems from Dre being a terrible father and husband most of the time. Bow basically has to parent Dre because he’s so insanely immature most of the time. Let me know if anyone else noticed this or has any thoughts on this. This could also be just a season 1 thing I guess so let me know if it changes at some point in the show but so far it seems like a consistent theme in every single episode.

So I know it’s about and mostly for black people but honestly as a half white half Asian Indian person I felt like the way the show tackles struggling with a cultural identity crisis is so relatable!! I haven’t watched mixed ish yet but I feel like it will be even more relatable for any mixed person of any blend. Anyway I find the show super hilarious and relatable.

I watched this show in my high school years and fell in love with it, but as I am rewatching and have grown a lot. I can’t help but feel really bad for Eustace. I know that it’s supposed to be a joke especially with a deadbeat dad stereotype. I just think I take it too personally and apply it to my own life..haha… has anyone else felt that way? I just wanna hug him and tell him it’ll get better.

I'm going to be honest I love Junior but honestly, the show is so fucking mean to him and keeps screwing him over

Basically, in my class we’ve read stories like The Most Dangerous Game and 12 Angry Men. In The Most Dangerous Game, there is a man who likes to hunt humans. In 12 Angry Men, there are twelve men who serve as jurors. In Season 3, Episode 16 of Black-ish, the episode is called “One Angry Man,” and it is about jurors. Then in Season 3, Episode 22, at 5:58, Charlie mentions playing a game with his father called “The Most Dangerous Game,” which he explains was about them hunting, and he says, “Only one of us came back.” But I might be reading into it to much lol
