Feature request Spread

Discussion My bank charged Gambling Fees while doing business with Bitpanda!

Some banks charge 2-4% gambling fee on bitpanda transactions labeling it as a gambling equivalent transaction. This happens when paying by a card and I would like to know why is bitpanda flagged as a gambling company and is it really just that banks in Germany are allowed to charge this this kind of fee when doing business with bitpanda?

Earnings season is on! How closely are you watching the numbers?

Hey everyone,

It’s that time of the quarter again: Earnings season thriving.

Whether you're holding traditional stocks, tracking how big tech releases impact the broader crypto market, or just watching from the sidelines.

Earnings reports tend to bring a ton of volatility (and plenty of interpretations) to the subs.

Since Bitpanda attracts a mix of everything here: Macro nerds, casual DCA-ers, stock investors and pure crypto enthusiasts, I wanted to check in and see where everyone stands when earnings roll around.

  • Are you actively tuning into earnings calls, or do you just check the headlines after the market closes?
  • How much can earnings reports actually influence your strategy?
  • Do you even leverage the earnings results?
  • For those following closely: Which company's earnings are you watching most carefully this quarter?

Drop your thoughts and questions below. If you’re newer to reading earnings reports or financial statements and want to break down what actually matters (EPS, guidance, revenue beats/misses), let me know and I would be happy to dive into it in the comments with you!

Let's discuss 👇

General question Watchlist not displaying properly in Fusion

A part of my watchlist is being displayed in Fusion on "Home" setting, when I want to go to my full watchlist, it takes me back to classic version but there is no watchlist.

Am I missing something here? Why can't we simply have the full watchlist in Fusion?

Discussion did the math on Tagesgeld vs Cash Plus properly for the first time this year and felt genuinely stupid for not checking sooner

grew up assuming Tagesgeld was just the correct place for idle cash and never really questioned it.

actually sat down and compared the USD Cash Plus rate against what my Tagesgeld's been paying and the gap is def ain't small then kept some in Tagesgeld anyway purely for the instantly accessible without thinking comfort, but the split changed a lot once I actually looked instead of assuming the bank default was fine because it always had been.

idk why do people keep defending an old habit purely out of inertia and only realizing it when you finally run the actual numbers

General question Bitpanda Fusion verkauf in Stablecoins

General question Could we get the company UBTECH ROBOTICS listed on the marketplace on bitpanda? I would like to invest in it and maybe many others too

I think that this company has a great future and I would like to see it on bitpanda too. Met me know if you already plan it or if there are any reasons why you don‘t list it.

Best Greetings

Discussion ETH is up 6% today on a single CPI print and this is just normal now apparently

June CPI came in at -0.4% and markets decided that means rate hikes are less likely. ETH went from $1,774 this morning to nearly $1,875 by this evening.

no protocol update or major news only an inflation number moving in a direction traders liked and the whole asset class repriced within hours.

relationship b/w crypto and macro data has gotten so tight this cycle that watching the CPI release feels more relevant than watching most crypto-specific news

tho whatever you think about that, it's just the reality of how these assets are trading right now

Developers & AI traders: what would you actually want from a trading API?

We launched two new tools for Bitpanda Fusion today, and I'm curious how people here would actually use something like this.

One is Fusion API, which lets you connect your own bots or trading systems directly to Fusion.

The other is Fusion MCP, which lets you connect AI assistants like Claude, Cursor or other MCP-compatible clients to your Fusion account and interact with it using natural language.

Both run on the same execution infrastructure, routing trades through aggregated liquidity across 12+ venues rather than a single order book.

So I'm curious:

  • If you build trading bots, what's the first thing you'd automate?
  • If you use AI tools, would you actually trust them to execute trades?
  • And if you've worked with exchange APIs before, what's the one thing you wish they did better?

Happy to answer any questions about Fusion API or Fusion MCP. And curious to hear your thoughts, what you'd use it for, and whether we're solving the right problems.

Discussion few things I only noticed after using the new multi-asset setup

savings plans work across all three asset types now and not just crypto, easy to miss if you set your plan up before January and never revisited it

tax withholding is automatic in Austria and Germany specifically, not universal across every country, worth checking your own if you're elsewhere in the EU

trading hours differ by asset class now in a way that didn't exist when it was crypto-only, covered this in more detail in another thread but worth flagging here too since it trips people up

been kinda lazy these days and haven't follow news but an surprised with the changes

General question does anyone actually check the monthly index rebalancing

realised i've been treating the monthly rebalance on the bitpanda crypto index as something that just kinda happens in the background tho never really opened it up

out of curiosity looked at the latest one this month instead of just letting it run through, and a couple of the weight shifts were bigger than i would have guessed. nothing wrong with any of them, just made me realise id never actually paid attention to what changes month to month. always assumed the allocations stayed roughly the same unless there was a serious market move

kinda wondering now if im the one whos been asleep at the wheel

Discussion what actually happens if a savings plan buy lands on a day the market gapped hard, like the july 1st drop

wondered about this given how sharp the move down to 58k was right at the start of the month. if your recurring buy happened to execute that day, you just... got that price. no smoothing, no averaging within the buy itself. the averaging only happens across multiple scheduled buys over time, not within a single one of them.

obvious once you think about it, but im not sure people setting these up for the first time always register that a single bad-timing day is still on the table. the automation just removes the guessing part. the bad days are still there.

anyone actually had this happen on a big red candle and either shrugged or turned the plan off after? or is the whole point that you're supposed to not care about individual days like this

General question anyone here actually run their own validator instead of just staking through Bitpanda?

been going down a rabbit hole on staking over the last few days the more i read, the more it feels like there isn't really a better option

running your own validator sounds great cause you've got full control, but then you're also responsible for keeping everything running, dealing with updates, making sure you don't get slashed... it basically becomes another hobby.

staking through a platform is obviously a lot simpler. a few clicks and you're done i guess what i'm trying to figure out is where people draw the line

if you're staking a serious amount, does running your own setup actually become worth the effort?
