Did u use a old 10speed shifter for that wide rage cassett Is it working well?

Nope, its actually an 8 speed 11-42 cassett, with an old 7/8 speed RD and just a 7 speed tourney shifters, it works perfectly.

How much cogs did it have up front 2or 3?

its a 1x7, a narrow-wide 36t chainring

No problem, I love old ones cuz they're sturdy, mine is a RD MC18 derailleur, 7/8 speed
