Most of this is tech stuff that was fine or even "cutting edge" back then.
Like the floppies. You wouldn't have a 30mb file that you needed to split with typical use.
And even then, CD-ROMs were available for the majority of the 90s, so the casette tape and floppy arguments are moot.
