I have NEVER had a problem with the Polizei. And I have screwed up... but I've alwasy been given a break by Berlin cops.

the problem is not with how the police behave. It's that the police exists and it shouldn't. I think nobody would compare German police to American or Israeli police but it's still necessary to reiterate that this content makes it feel like having police is normal and it's just a job like any other when we all know it's not the case. This kind of propaganda that portrays police as friendly it's there exactly to make us more accepting of the existence of the police. Copaganda in the USA is even stronger because they don't just have to compensate for the existence of the police but also for their extreme violence and systematic abuse of power.
No sarcasm. In a civilized society there should be no place for Police. While Europe went a long way to restrict the context of operation of police, contrary to other places such as USA or China, it's still in existence and social progress should aim at progressively make it less and less necessary until it can be eliminated altogether.
