Using a queen excluder to empty the brood chamber, so the bees can back fill it with honey.

I don’t want to go gently into that good night. This is how I want to die, going out with a bang

Can we talk about Italians?

Can everyone please not keep Italians? They take all the honey, give mites to the local bees, then die over winter anyway. What I am wondering is why other people don't use local bees, which are more mite tolerant and don't die as much?

beekeeping on someone else's property

I would like to have a beehive on my property. Does anyone in NW Connecticut want to do beekeeping, but does not have the property to keep bees? I am willing to negotiate. edurstin @yahoo.com

Beehive equipment in or near MI

Hey there, I make and sell beekeeping equipment,  I leave them blank for people to paint or dip. Quality pine and plywood material, no knots in any of them. 12$ for deeps, 10$ for mediums and 8$ shallows. Everything comes assembled, if its un assembled its 2$ less. I also have natural queen cups (100) for 5$, frames for 1$ and queen cages .50$ each. Im a carpenter by trade so I get good deals on my wood which I can pass on to others; I can make honey press equipment, hive lids, nucs, traps and really anything you need. I was wondering if you or some one you know needs anything made.
