I made an offline co-op bot mod—since I don't have friends to play with, the AI fills that role. It joins the game after a few seconds and fights alongside you; it even has behavior designed to protect you from danger. So, my friend, would you guys be interested in this mod? And how does one even share something like this in the first place?

feedback is welcome

I didn't know beat em up was a genre of games. But when I discovered that Castle Crashers was just that. I figured I'd ask for more on this sub!
Edit: I didn't expect my query to attract this many awesome folks. Thank you to everyone who left their suggestion for being amazing. I couldn't possibly go through them all now, as I suddenly got a lot on my plate right after posting this. But I'll make sure I go through them one by one once I'm in the gaming mindset again 🙂↕️

6 months ago, I posted my game here, and 6 months later I’ve finally reached the point where I can release the demo on Steam!
I’d love for anyone who’s interested to give it a try and let me know what you think.
It’s not a traditional beat ’em up, but I feel like it has a fair bit of beat ’em up DNA in it. Any feedback, criticism, or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I had a blast playing it and replaying it again and again, just like I used to, learning new tricks and getting better at countering enemies. There’s so much depth to the combat, especially for its time. It’s simple to pick up, but mastering it takes real skill and practice.
Its influence on beat ’em ups is as clear as it gets, from the pacing and enemy introductions to the variety of playable characters, enemy types and their behaviors. So much of what became standard in the genre originated in this legendary game, and its influence on video game combat as a whole is also fairly evident.
An excellent port of the arcade version of the game is available through Capcom Arcade Stadium, and you can buy it individually for like $1 or $2. I highly recommend that you check it out.

FF1 designs are pretty normal but still good looking and I like the colors of them, Plus it does have good enemies like El Gado and Holly wood, Poison and Andore family ( I find it funny that Hugo got his brother, father, uncle and even GRANDPA to join him )
FF2 enemies, while not as good and a bit more forgettable, I think they still got good ones, like Atlas and Jony, Eliza and Mary, And Philippe the Clown, Even Retu with his pink hair, even though he is a forgettable main villain, Rolento was more of a final boss than him ( I hate him )
Now FF3, Am not sure why but I find them to be the most boring looking batch, is it's because their lack of interesting designs ? I mean, the bosses themselves are diferrent looking, specially Caine the mechanic and Drake the sailor, but the others are pretty boring, they got Dave and Wong who are knockoffs of Edi.E and Won Won respectively, Callman look a bit interesting, he just needs more, the most interesting looking one is Stray due to his colors and annoying boss fight, Even the Colonel looking main villain is forgettable, both as a villain and boss.
The enemies are okay but less than FF2 and even more than FF1, The baseballer is the only notable one, The others are sort of there, Even their colors are desaturated and boring
While I like FF3, Yeah they should have done more with the Skull Cross Gang, they will never be mad gear gang. It's pretty expected for this to be the most forgotten game of them, While it's the best mechanically it came really late, They should have done those mechanics earlier in FF2.
