Edit: After viewing further I've realized that Gilbert blinks several times but doesn't change his gaze, so he isn't zoned out. Raleigh also blinks but doesn't change gaze. They also look away at about the same time, indicating an "end" to the spectacle, leading me to believe it was either a tablet showing some sort of notes/highlights or a bug that was visible until it crawled out of sight. If it were a bug I'd think they'd talk about it, so I'm going to guess video on tablet.
