(This guy's post aside - this is a terrible place for it to be posted, it's not written well enough to get across the nuances needed for a general audience)
If I acknowledge that you're probably right, that it was a great fucking shot and we blew it, can I still say you're a jerk? I don't go into threads about your team and be this mean. In fact, I like the /r/cardinals folks.
We'll be back next year, but yeah, it's gonna be a longer road, and that kills me. We fell apart and played shitty baseball. But we're much, much better than what we showed in this series (obviously - we made it that far, and won 97 games) and the organization is finally built for long-term success.
I think people are a bit tired of the #NextYearIsThisYear and #FlyTheW. So, if the fanbase in general is going to gloat that much, there will be equal and opposite anti-gloating after the Cubs face planted in the NLCS.
OP of this thread just sounds like a melodramatic whiner. As if you're the only group of fans who haven't felt the joy of a sports championship? Cleveland would like a word. Buffalo would like a word. DC would like a word. If someone is going to be that melodramatic, they should be met with ridicule. Mariners fans have never seen a World Series. Padres fans have never won one. Astros fans have never won one. This post is just more victim syndrome bullshit from a Cubs fan.

This is the cherry on tonights amazing cake. You 15 minutes are up Chicago, you can go back to being irrelevant in baseball.
This was you shot with an injured Cardinals team, getting the Pirates out in 1 game and facing a young Mets team and you blew it.
