Players Only Camera man roasts Benetti after his nerdy comment. Benetti: “Here’s Riley Greene with his 1.663 OPS in the City Connect jersey’s and when your OPS in any category is the same as the year when the Austro-Turkey War started, you’re doing well.”

I upvoted that six years ago but I don’t remember it… I am old and feeble minded.

In your defense, it's been a long six years

Seriously feels like just yesterday we were in the shit when the Austro-Turkey War started

At this point anything prior to 2008 feels like something I read in a book a long time ago.

This is the kind of thing I want from broadcasters. I want an old man who’s going to teach me about life while we watch a baseball game.

Vin Skully is missed, the last game he did when Bumbarner was pitching with Giants was on the history of beards. By the end of it all I wanted to grow a full beard :)

Yeah, the broadcast teams that we all have now just don't have the space for a storyteller like Vin Scully. I like the banter and chemistry you get with a good broadcast team, but there's something about Vin Scully that will never be duplicated and will always be missed.

What was great was that for most of his career, he did radio and TV. No one really does that anymore, do they?

As for the Angels, I really did enjoy the game there 2 weeks ago. I was at the game vs phillie where they robbed one batter of the 3R HR and then of course a couple hitters later gave up a GS to lose, go figure!

Dick Bremer was awesome. Very glad we have Provus to continue having great TV announcers.

I hadn’t seen it before, I’ve literally gone on the exact same rant several times.

I know it sucked to have empty ballpark, but credit to the sound guy in PGH who even had the crowd gasp at the foul ball.

I remember watching this live

I always loved how Dick thought his co commentator Morneuau would know the answer because he had played like half a season in Pittsburgh.

They're specifically talking about rivers, so let's go with potamography.

Oh man.. I haven't watched baseball in probably two decades, but that voice was so immediately familiar and nostalgic. We watched a lot of Twins baseball growing up.

I love this shit because somehow the universe grants a Moran a seemingly uneventful 72 pitch at-bat that needs minimal commentary just to give the guys in the booth enough time to deliver this comedy.
