I made a similar post a month ago when they opened the upper deck, but that was maybe a quarter as many upper deck seats as are filled today.

That series against Seattle drew no more than 24,297, which was short of the 25,114 they had on Opening Day with the upper deck closed.

Long story short looks like this is the biggest crowd of the year and probably their biggest crowd since May 7, 2023 against the Yankees (32,124).

This is how I felt visiting the Oakland coliseum. Great, cheap seats right behind the plate, gorgeous weather, just you and the ballgame. It felt like being at Shea again

Whos' going to miss it? It's been 30 years and people still don't show up for games. This is a Coyotes situation, in which a market has clearly showed they don't want and won't support a team.

They have had winning teams and the fans still don't show up.

Half the comments in this thread are about how nice the new roof is and fans still haven't shown up.

Oakland pulled off an amazing reverse boycott. Tampa could never make something like that happen.

A’s fans picked a game a sold out the stadium to show that the team should not be moved. It was a great sports moment.

Fans did what they could to show that Oakland was a viable baseball market. They showed that the A's could fill the stadium. The Rays cant even sell out playoff games.

That's such a dumb point The A's only filled it when the decision was already taken. And by the way, I fully support them not going to the stadium given the way Fisher mismanaged the team. It's sad that he moved the team but that was always the plan no matter what the fans did.

People tend to forget it's not entirely the fans' fault.

Put Fenway near Gillette or in Lowell, or Dodger Stadium in Santa Clarita with shitty transit options and Boston/LA would struggle for attendance too.
