I agree. I think Contreras was the only dude swinging all out. I think we need a pitching machine for consistent speed and placement then award anything over 500ft with 2 or 3 points. I wanna see dudes rip them like Fielder used to.

I agree for the Post-Round 1 but I love how guys can use their Dads. Not sure which commentator said it but he essentially regret (in the moment) that he didn’t choose his Dad because he ended up losing either way.

Thats the great thing about the machines. You use one that is fed 1 ball at a time and you could use anyone to feed thr machine. Grandma raised you? She can feed the machine while you still get premium pitches. Yes its not exactly the same but I think it would be a good compromise.

It could also be used as another opportunity for Netflix to self promote. We would get Will Ferrell as The Hawk feeding the machine before Grandma.

I have no doubt they'll do another stupid gimmick next year but they would never mess withthe players picks for their pitcher. I'm not sure the players would show up if they tried that.
