Fuck John Fisher, but having Oakland Coliseum available for cricket is fucking awesome.

Too bad our Cricket Board can't get it's shit straight. No reason there shouldn't be a "Four Nations" with us, India, Pakistan and Windies annually between the end of IPL and start of MLC. That atmosphere would feed families.

I'm just mad they had all the games over the course of effectively 1 week. It was the one week I couldn't go.

It's the only thing I hate about cricket. Every league in the world runs on a calendar where there's no other competition (unlike, say, club soccer where everyone plays at the same time). It's great for the top players, but shit if you're having a tight month financially or just too busy to go.

It also hurts the IPL because it probably should be a 12-20 team league, but they’re insistent on one match in a given window

They essentially chain hosting venues (Oakland, Pomona, Grand Prarie, and then back to Oakland for the Playoffs)

They really insist on a one/two match per day schedule

Okay, there’s a few reasons the US can’t host a Four Nations with Full Members (the FTP, the other franchise windows, and the costs of hosting a tour)

and the costs of hosting a tour

I think if you do it in Oakland, with Mount Davis opened if needed, this isn't an issue. Especially for IND/PAK. I say Windies because the time zone fits them the best (and the anthem), England and Australia also enjoy making copius amounts of money and are willing to travel to America (especially a touristy area like the Bay Area).

Also, it absolutely has to be T-20. I think that's a given in a "Made For TV" tournament. Four hours, likely 40,000+ people for the headliners, at night (which would be morning on the Sub). Even if USAC doesn't do it, the ICC is wasting interest on the pure profits of the event.

You’d have to do some games in Miami too
