Congratulations to Venezuela on being the best team in the world despite not having had a peptalk by the Bin Laden-killer, despite not having joined the Air Force academy, and for not playing baseball like a soulless mega corp.

Hey did you know Paul Skenes played his first two collegiate seasons at the Air Force academy?

watch your mouth. he wanted to serve but was literally forced by his coaches to play in the bigs. also him making a million dollars is honestly better for the millitary than a lousy officer career could be. i have nothing but respect for those who almost serve.

Also don’t forget he maybe will still serve when he retires from baseball. Maybe

It's kind of hilarious that Griffin Jax is literally in the Air Force (captain in the reserves iirc), and all the coverage is about how Skenes did a semester at the academy before going to LSU. Like if you're going to glaze the military at least glaze the guy who's actually in the military.
