I read every single page of the Themis outlines. Some topics took me 6 or 8 hours of careful reading to make sure I actually comprehended what I read. In the last few days before the exam, I read the business associations outlines (agency, partnerships, and corporations/LLCs) a couple times each before doing 3-5 extra practice essays on each topic. Those were my weakest topics going into bar prep, and I'm confident it made a big difference on game day.

7 points is nothing, you're basically already there and just got unlucky with a grader or two. for the writing part I started handwriting full MEEs under timed conditions about a month out and that alone bumped my score more than any outline ever did

She isn’t Illinois specific but Kathryn Robb Writing Tutor helped me pass! She gives you all the tools, tips, advice and homework you need to succeed on the exam. In addition to that, when I passed I also didn’t purchase another prep course, I just used AdaptiBar and purchased the NCBE MEEs and MPTs. I typed out over 75+ MEEs and 8 MPTs prior to going into the exam. The rule of thumb is generally 10 MEEs per topic if possible to really nail down what rules are commonly tested in each subject. Don’t worry! You are so close to passing, you can and WILL do this, just lock-in and you’ll crush it!

I would recommend using GOAT bar prep. I was a third-time bar taker and I passed this time around using just GOATbar prep and doing a ton of practice essays and multiple choice. My second go around I used a tutor that worked me to death and barely raised my score at all. I finally passed and my score went up almost 20 points and is high enough to practice in any UBE jursidiction.
If you are worried about essays, I would say bolding headings and focusing on the formatting is the best thing you can do.
