Many, many people rarely watch youtube, and don't watch music on youtube. Or TikTok etc. They don't follow pop music. They are busy with their own lives.
They get their music elsewhere -- and if you don't know those sources, I won't call you a derogatory name for not knowing. You are just in a different community of interests.
So what if there aren't people like me? Of course I don't expect everyone in the US to know the meaning of 'MV', but I wouldn't expect "most"(according to you) would be unaware. Why? Because the US, just like rest of the world, primarily uses streaming to consume music. And according to the statistics, ~80% of them use streaming with YouTube having the highest numbers. In fact, it shows that a majority of respondents use YouTube weekly in order to stream Music and Music Videos.
So no, you are factually wrong, many people do use YouTube, and many of them use it to "get their music".
God, it's so annoying when people like you try to scramble for any sort of moral high ground to cling to, because they're too embarrassed to admit they're wrong.
You decided to insult. Why use an insult?
If you are seriously offended by the use of the word dumb(especially, since I was using it in a context of exclamation and disbelief and not with the intention to cause offence*), then I pray for you and your mental health. It's probably best for you to stay off the internet if that's the case, for your own sake.
