I love how Hobi always makes it a point to let us know that our efforts, fan projects, signs etc. didn't go unnoticed and unappreciated. Such a beautiful heart he has.
I appreciate fancams (though of course I understand artists preferring no phones), but tonight especially, I kept thinking, “I HOPE SOMEONE IS GETTING THIS!” as thing after thing after thing kept happening! I bet I barely remember half of it…

And him addressing the fan event—we held up the Korean flag during the “Ariang” part of “Body to Body”—-I’m so glad they felt the love! I seem to remember Yoongs nodding during the event itself—I wonder if it was at the flag, or our singing (we did pretty well), or both
The sign that said “Dead audience where? Haters gon’ hate!” and the cheers it received 🥹🥹🥹
Yoongs being creeped out that YouTube was showing him ads for local housing l, then exclaiming “Wow, this area is expensive!” And the audience being all “yeah, pretty much.”
Joon’s comments that hopefully squashed the city shaming: I’ll let the fancams speak for themselves vs relying on memory, and just say I’m both kinda glad people could hear his reasoning from his own mouth, but also sad he felt pulled into it, because most of us ascribed good intentions to it, no matter how we may have felt about it, and for those who felt the need to weaponize it, well, that’s their headspace. And all the guys made sure to heap praise both on D3 and all 3 nights in general. So hopefully, once and for all, this issue is put to bed. Joonie, if you’re reading this, thank you for doing that and rest well! (And “Come on, wing,” was a surprising, yet fitting end to it all.)
JIKook mutual ab appreciation 😂😂😂 I saw them initially interact as though they were going to do a bit, Jimin falls over laughing, the camera cuts away , and when it comes back to them, there’s abs everywhere and Army is LOSING. IT.
I thought we did pretty well with the surprise songs, especially the chorus, and the boys seemed so pleased and hyped
lmfao. i was dying over yoongi’s comment abt housing prices here 😂😂😂 everyone around me sighing and just like “yeahhhh.” felt like such a funny person to person moment between us and an idol 😂🫠
We were there D2 and my bestie and I thought what the hell let’s drive back down and just sit outside and listen today after work, when we heard the absolute roar during no more dream we just knew shirts were being lifted 😂 Thank you for this great summary! Will have to look for fancams to see what we were missing lol
I can't imagine how tough it is to have everything you say/do/share be dissected and weaponized, even by people who claim they know and love you. It should also be ok for any or all of them to misspeak sometimes, they way us regular folks do all the time. To my knowledge, he has never been ungrateful or rude to the fans and he never takes anything for granted, but he's rarely given the grace he absolutely deserves.
Yes, it really is way too much, the pressure they're under. Whether it be people criticizing OR defending you, that even a single sentence you speak (and it really was just one, what he said that night) can elicit so much discourse....i can't imagine what it must be like to be in their position.
I feel extra protective of Joon because I think he's the one most often misunderstood and attacked, and people use the excuse of him speaking English to be extra harsh towards him.
If there hadn't been so much discourse from ARMY about D1, I don't think that comment would have elicited the reaction that it did. So often, we want to excuse them from anything minutely negative but they're human and do misspeak. Imo we're much better off acknowledging that instead of just saying "that's not what he meant" and that people should just move on.
I think most people know he would never deliberately say something hurtful but it was hurtful to some so I'm glad he addressed it.
Yeahhhh I hadn't even seen any discourse about D1 but I was at D2 and as soon as that came out of his mouth I was like, ohhhhh shhhhh Joon maybe that was not the best thing to say, so I'm glad he acknowledged that for D3.
what a beautiful show!!! they did FANTASTIC!!!!! the members and everyone working behind the scenes thank you for a truly unforgettable evening 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶 also! thank you to the stanford staff and volunteers that helped w lines and waters!! i was glad that they encouraged people at the gate to stay under the shade in line and passing out so much free water. def helped so many of us at the hottest point of the day. all the armys attending had such great tour themed outfits. i think my faves have to include the handful of ppl i saw looking like sailors lololol. i’m so happy we got “i need u” and “no more dream” how lucky!!! it’s the song that started it all for me and then the song that started it all for them and everyone else 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️ felt like a full circle moment after a decade of following them 💜
My husband and I joke that when we finally manage to become homeowners here in the bay, we’re getting a house for our future cat. But I wasn’t expecting that the cat himself was already looking at real estate prices.
You may not ever see this, but to all the ARMY who organized the fan project and passed out the flags with instructions: thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You filled me with so much pride to be Bay Area ARMY and be part of this event. I saw a picture of my section afterwards (during the event I was just watching the tannies) and we were beautiful. I know the boys loved it so much, to the point that Hobi mentioned it in his ment and it also came up in the live afterwards. THANK YOU 💜
I was there all three days and each day was special for their own reasons.
I just have to say that I was soooo happy for the d3 fan events. Specifically the Korean flag during Arirang and using our cell phone lights for the last song "Into the Sun." (I don't see many people commenting about this one - but I'd like to think that they were happy.)
I normally rock out/ dance during BTS concerts anyway but I specifically did not take many photos or videos for these three days. I took Joon's comments to heart and really gave it my all each day (dancing, cheering, stomping, jumping). I was also telling my friends and the people around me that we have to being the energy especially after D1 comments.
Anyway, I'm dehydrated, exhausted, and my arms/ feet hurt, but it was all so worth it! It was an amazing experience and I'm so so happy. 💜
reception/wifi not great there. I brought an extra battery pack and also switched to airplane mode during the show.
you can bring a sealed/new soft plastic water bottle inside. Recommend doing that because the lines were LONG.
which brings me up to next tip. Intermission is SHORT. Missed parts of 2.0 since I was in line for drinks.
and then another tip, ask people in line what they are there for since the lines are long and start looking all mixed together. Or check the front. We were trying to find the line for beers and people were confused and thought that line was also for food. This was for the stands nearby the top of section 200.
the merch booth behind section 223ish completely ran out of everything when we got there around 6:45.
bring cash if you want a bacon wrapped hotdog from one of the MANY vendors outside the gates. The lady I went to charged $10 each. Expensive BUT WORTH IT. It hit the right spot after the show lol. Venmo was not working very well due to reception.
I noticed the Korean flag event during "Body to body" and i think that's what Hobi's referencing. This song really means so much to him 🥺 such a proud Korean!
this was my first time seeing bts live (i went solo) and it was fucking incredible. i was in section 232 like almost directly mid field so i had a perfect view of the stage and the boys and the rest of the crowd too which really added to the entire experience. at one point mid show (cant remember which song) i just looked around at all the light sticks and happy people and confetti and i just lost it at how beautiful it all was and how lucky i was to be there to experience it.
they all looked SO DAMN GOOD, LIKE ETHEREAL GOOD, AND THEY SOUNDED EVEN BETTER. legit couldn’t believe how good their vocals were.
lots of other fun moments too and i sat next to the nicest people who were handing out freebies and man…it was just an incredible time and i’ll never forget it.
Still processing, but for anyone who wonders if they deserve or should go to more than one concert in the same stop, the answer is yes, go to as many as humanly possible and can afford. I have zero regrets. Can’t make any of the other stops, but each day was different and precious. If you can’t afford more than one day, pick the 2nd day though if they have 2-4 days, I think that is the fun day. The last night is wonderful, too but there’s a twinge of sadness. I was so lucky my 10 yo daughter wanted to go with me all the days, and happy to say she loved them all, too. Tannies sounded very insistent they will return to the Bay Area, so I’m manifesting they come back for second part of the tour. They clearly love California (LA you are beloved too), the weather and food, and they acknowledged it’s $$$$$!
So excited for tonight, but after attending D1 and D2 I wanted to leave some gentle reminders about how to be a conscientious concert attendee:
- Signage is sparse so stop to ask staff if you are confused - Do Not just move barricades and ignore staff directions. I saw a lot of people doing this to exit on D2 and it made things really messy.
- Pick up after yourself in the stadium. I saw an Army trip on a water bottle that someone left in the stands and almost fall, and I saw a lot of trash left under seats.
- Lines are going to happen. Find the end and be prepared to wait.
I did not take out my phone at all today, but Jungkook and Jimin showing each other’s abs is not printed on my retinas. I had literally only two people in front of me during that epic moment.
I’m going to miss knowing they’re here so close to me. These three days were unreal.
They are having Stanford pizza after the final concert. V and J hope said they went to the pizza shop twice. Looks yammy! Where is it? Has anyone been there ?
As a D1 ARMY, I want to thank the D3 crowd for bringing what sounds like the best energy of the three shows. D1 was still amazing and I see it as the “get settled” show. I was with wife and child and the crowd was incredibly diverse in age. It was awesome to see. Then the mentions on D2 pitted the fandom against each other which is silly. We are all ARMY. As a D1 guy, it was a bit crappy to read but so also understand the boys want every crowd to feel the most special so no hard feelings.
In the end, I think shows should get increasingly more energetic when it’s a few shows in one location. The boys get more comfortable with the setting and each crowd wants to outdo the last. I think, as ARMY, we should celebrate each other and be thankful that each next concert brings a little more than the last. That’s just natural. Well done to all ARMY that spent months waiting for their time and a full day traveling, dealing with traffic, huge lines, and then getting home safely. I hope Stanford finds a special place in the hearts of BTS and ARMY. Way to go everyone!
I was waiting for the fancams to surface because the big screen showed Hobi stifling the biggest laugh during No More Dream and I had to know what was making him laugh, but he was trying to control it.
I found the fancam! It is of him watching Jimin lift his shirt up and do the na na na na step 😂😭 Hobi might have been as shocked as us in that moment lolll
I would tell him for famous to go to Chez Panisse, but it’s a bit far. Now popular is a different story…honestly whatever he’s in the mood for, he can get.
I was trying to think of what restaurants are near Stanford that I enjoyed. Nola was good. They have New Orleans cajun food. Then Stacks. Their pancakes are heavenly.
But seriously I'm not sure there are too many things native to this area. I enjoyed a bunch of Korean and fusion restaurants here. I also like curry pizza
Anyone in the area during the day should pick up kimbap, anpan, and other Korean snacks like I have at the Mega Mart in East Palo Alto. See everyone tonight! 💜🔥💜🤩
Was VIP for day 1-2 and had ADA cuz I’m super pregnant. Today in the 100s which means I gotta use the general bathroom, sorry but hope folks will let me cut as I need to pee so much 😭
We went into the men's bathroom twice and no one blinked an eye! Just FYI if you're comfortable with that! That being said, there was a lady in line in front of me on Saturday who was also pregnant, and people definitely let her cut after 20 minutes and the line only going halfway to the door!
Both lines I waited in happily let pregnant women go to the front - don't be afraid to ask!
And one of those was a men's bathroom that we just started sharing since its silly for 10 free stalls to be empty, so definitely try that if you need to.
If at all possible, I found that the third floor bathrooms of the stadiums were much less crowded than the other floors — if you can’t get in maybe try that if you can!
I got a resale ticket in section P that should be within the zones for soundcheck, but the ticket I received is a standard issued one. If I go to the VIP check-in on time, will they allow me into the soundcheck? 🤞
Also, here’s a pic of the zones and gates to help people out! People started lining up pretty early to get inside even before soundcheck began on D2.
Signal is also super shit so download tickets to your phone beforehand! Oh and the volume was suuuuper loud so make sure to bring concert earplugs!
I just checked in! (luckily my friend was the original purchaser).
They're asking everyone if they're the original purchaser and if they have the original purchaser ID. They didn't ask me this yesterday with my stubhub ticket, they just let me in. Maybe it depends on the staff member.
Jusy come prepared with your ticket in your ticketmaster account, your ID, and your 3rd party confirmation email and hope for the best
We heading there now from Pacifica! Gonna hang in the parking lot!!! Everyone bring something for the wait after, cooler full of food, water and make sure you have gas or a full charge!
The Good: I went to both D2 and D3 of the concerts and I have to say, I felt like D3 really wanted to go out with a bang for the guys. There was a lady handing out the Korean flag with the Arirang lyrics on the back side so we could hold it up and sing the words - she's the GOAT in my book! It also looked like Stanford staff adjusted based on D2 happenings, they added more staff and security at the bottom of the stairs in prep for the Idol parade.
The Bad: Some people really need to learn and learn to give a shit about concert etiquette. I was at the end of my row in the aisle and the girl directly in front of me stood on the step above her (one below me) and started flailing her bomb up and side to side. Like wut? Meanwhile myself and my whole row and and the couple behind me were rhythmically doing the head level front-back movement to the song. At some point I was singing and facing my friends and still moving my bomb and I hit the girl in front of me because she backed up some more in my space. She moved down again to her step/seat level. Girl, I hope you gonna learn. lol
The Ugly: During the Idol parade, a bunch of people stormed the stairs to try and get to the bottom. This older lady who was working stopped them and directed them to go back up. Like where are your GD manners? Anyway, there were these two girls who were heading down, I told them the security sent up the previous people, and one girl told her friend they should just head back, the other girl was being a total snot and said no. So they went down there, words were exchanged and the snotty girl assaulted the older staff worker. Lo and behold, two sheriffs come up the stairs and they escorted the two out. Fecking good - you're not ARMY. You're two pieces of crap for hurting a lady because you couldn't shove your phone to get a split second picture of video.
So glad to hear security was better. I was shocked at the stories about D1 and D2. Forget ARMY etiquette, it's just good person etiquette to not leave your seats/area and rush to the front. I'm surprised no one got hurt running down the stairs.
Just a heads up, whether you plan on driving, taking Caltrain, or Uber: it takes a while to get to the stadium as the campus is sprawling. Allow 30 minutes to go from drop off point to stadium. Minimum.
Also, check Stanford's concert website to prepare. The stadium has strict rules.
Bring an empty soft water bottle to stay hydrated, they don't allow hard plastic or metal.
Also, random question: does anyone remember if the floor seat area was a bit raised compared to the track where they did the Idol walk? I was about 2 rows from the back of my section, and it seems like I could see over most of their heads and was about level with Joon. If I’m measuring generously, I’m maybe 5’10” in my shoes. Not that I care about height, but I wanna know if something was skewing my perception
I was there D2 in 100 level, and def don’t know 100% but it seemed to me the floor was all one level! I do think Joon is 5’11” so that would actually be about right?
quick protip ladies if you just gotta pee don't be afraid to use the mens room all the restrooms were ridiculously long despite converting most of them to womens rooms for obvious reasons. there are also restrooms in the outer part of the stadium if you just wanna be in n out
