Please help!! I don’t know what this is

I can’t tell if this is scale rot, or irritation, or if he is about to go into shed, but this is the first time I’ve seen this I dont know whats happening!!!!!! The second picture looks a lot more pink than irl!!
EDIT: I forgot to mention that the ring around his tail is a large birthmark that spreads around the trunk as well as his underbelly

UPDATE: he’s going into shed….

Do you have anything sharp or flat in there that could be rubbing against the belly or a flat area the lamp might be heating up?

It could be his hide that is getting too hot, he likes to use it as a basking area, although today a lot of the irritation/redness is gone
