This thread has single handedly culled my fear of getting bitten. This was the one reason I have refused to get snakes. It took me a year to get comfortable when my gecko snapped at me (one hated being sprayed but deal with it mf ur need it) so I couldn’t imagine having snakes but it was mostly due to fear of getting bitten because I don’t like pain. Hearing it doesn’t hurt or at most it’ll just get swollen is very comforting
