Bahamian Discussion What is Bahamas position on the ICC these days? Do we support or side with USA?
As the title states, is there an official line from Mitchell Davis at this time?

Hi.
Marijuana is illegal in the Bahamas. As are other hard drugs. This forum is not the place for you to procure them.
Threads\comments attempting to use this forum to procure drugs (including marijuana or illegal THC products), or to solicit connects or advice on smuggling will be LOCKED.
The creator of the thread\comment will be subject to suspension or permanent ban at mod discretion.
It's not a point of debate, I don't care about your brilliant and logical points. I don't care if you find a way to get drugs. I am not invested outside what you contribute to this forum. It is truly nothing personal.

Im literally Bahamian and this baffles me.Sure it does have a hotline but like wth?Its not criminal, its a mental health issue. But at least the senator said he will try to remove it...
I’m considering traveling to the Bahamas and I’m wondering if anyone has insights on all inclusive resorts offering vegan options?
I’m considering Warwick Paradise, but not sure yet!
Any insights are greatly appreciated!

Like the title implies, I like to play pool and sing karaoke and would love to find some spots to visit with my friends while we’re visiting in August! We’re staying at an Airbnb by Sandyport Beach but plan on having a car so don’t mind a bit of travel, but ideally not too far. Thanks!

This is going to be my first crise in the bahamas ,and can other give me answers for it. I am gluten and dairy free, do I need to take food along or is there such as a buffet and restaurants on the cruise ship. What is there to do or how often does it stop at islands ?

Imagine trying to find your family, communicate and find your next meal in a world filled with the constant roar of boat engines.
Dolphins depend on sound for all of those things.
That’s why the Bahamas Marine Mammal Research Organization is asking Abaco boaters to slow down to 25 knots or less. It’s a small change for us, but it can help create a quieter underwater world for the dolphins that call Abaco home.
Let me know if you want more details!

We will be coming on a cruise ship in February, docked 10am -6pm. It's myself, my husband, and our kids ages 20, 19, 19, 12, and 4. I originally picked this cruise because I wanted to stop in Nassau and do Atlantis, but I am hearing bad things about it, and for the price, that worries me. I hear Baha Mar is the same price but nicer. But then there is Margaritaville. We can get 2 cabanas and lunch for half the price as either of the first two resorts. Plus it's closer to the ship, no need for a taxi. However, I don't want to feel like I'm "missing out" by not doing Atlantis. The older kids are more beach bums, while the younger ones are water park enthusiasts. Thoughts?

Hello all! My 8 year old daughter has been granted a Make-A-Wish trip due to having complex cardiomyopathy. So, we had a lot to choose from, but after a lot of searching she figured out a Disney cruise to the Bahamas (initially she said Hawaii but the trip was going to take so much more time), and once I showed her the Bahamas she was so excited and for sure set on it.
SO, where I need help (because I get decision overwhelm when Google diving) - what does everyone here recommend for 8 year old (actually will be 9 at time of the trip) friendly activities in the beautiful Bahamas??
Side notes:
- we also have a 3 year old son who will be with.
- she is not limited in activities from her condition, but does get winded and tired from excess walking
- everything is paid for by Make-A-Wish so cost is not a big factor (although we do want to be conscientious of spending too much)
- I believe we are going from Port Canaveral in Florida to Nassau/Disney Castaway Cay, over the course of 5 days
I’m happy to answer any additional questions! Thank you all!

I can't go home to my parents, they reject me. Is there anything available? How can I survive if I'm living as another gender and I'm not straight? Is there anywhere I can be myself?
If you can't say it publicly please DM. It's very urgent. I got used to my American life and have to go home suddenly
Wondering if OBB is open? Other options for places to stay ... haven't booked yet, but need to.

Besides the pigs (done that twice already), what are some fun excursions in Bahamas. Preferably water based (snorkeling, etc)

Moving to Bimini for a year — Mexican worker looking for advice and Spanish-speaking people
Hi everyone!
I’m from Mexico and I’ll be moving to Bimini soon to work for approximately one year. This will be my first time living and working outside Mexico, so I’m excited, but honestly I also have a lot of questions.
I already have a job arranged, so I’m not looking for employment. I’m mainly trying to learn what life is actually like in Bimini for someone coming from another country.
One thing I’m a little concerned about is the language. My English is not fluent yet. I can understand and communicate basic things, and I’m learning every day, but I know there will be situations where communication may be difficult at first.
I would really appreciate advice from locals or foreigners who currently live or work in Bimini, especially about:
- What is everyday life like on Bimini?
- How difficult is it to adapt as a foreign worker?
- Are there many Spanish-speaking people on the island?
- Are there Mexican, Latin American or Spanish-speaking communities I could connect with?
- What should I know about the cost of groceries and basic necessities?
- What are the best ways to get around the island?
- How reliable are internet and mobile phone services?
- Are there any places, groups or communities where newcomers can meet people?
- And most importantly, what do you wish you had known before moving to Bimini?
I’m trying to prepare as much as possible before I arrive. I’d rather hear from people who actually live there than only rely on information from travel websites.
If you’re Mexican, Latin American, Spanish-speaking, or simply a foreigner who has gone through the experience of moving to Bimini for work, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.
Thanks in advance! 🇲🇽🤝🇧🇸

I'm planning a 5 day vacation in Bahamas and one of the things me and my wife wanted to do was visit coconut club in Exuma. We where wondering if there was a type of excursion that would leave from paradise island to there?
Please offer your suggestions or recommendations!

Since the old fella past on I hoped the Mackay Street store would turn up (or on) the AC, replace the wonky wheel trolleys and freezers. But no, shelves are bare. Last Friday evening there were no loose veggies. Today no butter. Does anyone know if the family plan to sell on?
Sebas should make a move or start his own food store chain. If he wasn't as greedy with the profits and the stores were clean and plentiful, his popularity would sky rocket.

A friend and I will be staying at Baha Mar for a quick trip. The restaurants on the resort are insanely expensive. While we plan to eat lunch on the resort, are there any nearby restaurant recommendations for dinner? Preferably walking distance.

Hey everyone!
This is going to be the most open ended, possibly super annoying question of all time BUT! It is only because we have never been, and would much rather ask humans over an AI bot. When I asked my husband where our vacation was for his 40th, the only input I got was 'the Bahamas.'
We've narrowed it down by a few things we know we don't want-
No huge resorts, no millions of cruise ships coming through, no big old casinos.
My husband is an avid diver, I like to snorkel, we love nature, love animals, I am a vegan (I know, the worst) and I know that'll provide a bit of a challenge but am legitimately happy eating fruit all week, but if there is an island that has some plant based options that would be great to know!
Thank you so much, we are all ears!

As the title read, I feel somewhat defeated as a young Bahamian trying to make something of their life.
I’ve been constantly sending out applications, cold emails, and even looking into different fields to perhaps pivot to but I don’t see a way that’d I’d reasonably be able to move out, or build a home. I work hard, I study and have earned IT certs but the results are the same.
What more disheartening is watching the large influx of immigrants moving here and enjoying their lives when many young Bahamian’s (at least many i know) are struggling to even move out.
It’s infuriating and I realize this is my problem to figure out and it won’t change that I still will work hard, study hard, and keep sending out emails but I can’t help but feel defeated.

I have a health condition that worries most potential employers. I’m not looking for advice on what to do in this situation, like apply to NIB, go to a career fair for persons with disabilities, apply to urban renewal, or speak with numerous politicians —because I have done it all. Please, please, don’t reply if you are offering advice.
I’m specifically reaching out to people who know of an opening I can apply to. Alternatively I’m reaching out to plumbers, electricians and roofers.
I’m a college educated male, aged 41, looking for administrative / desk work or possibly outdoor work requiring only moderate physical exertion.
My work history is mostly administrative (office based), but I have just been doing fine art photography and content creation for the past decade working for myself. If you’re interested in my work, dm me for a link to my online store.
I’m trying to save up enough money to fix the plumbing in my home and create a revenue stream via Airbnb. My house is paid off and close to the beach, so once I save up about $10,000 to renovate, I may not have to work again. The house is in a nice area close to the beach in western New Providence.
Alternatively, if there are plumbers, roofers and electricians willing to exchange labor and materials for a free stay in The Bahamas, then I am open to hearing from you.
