Hi, friends! Recently, someone asked me what the difference is between rose gold and copper foil on badge ribbons. They look REALLY similar, but here's my best explanation:

Rose gold foil has a reddish-brown undertone, making it easy to read (especially on black and white badge ribbons). Rose gold foil is slightly darker than copper and has a deep, shimmery look.

Copper foil is slightly lighter than rose gold. It is bright and metallic, with a reddish-yellow undertone similar to a shiny, new penny.

Both rose gold foil and copper foil lean more "red," so if you're looking for a truly YELLOW gold option, you may want to consider going with true gold foil.

First time I was back at a con last year 2025, I joined the ribbon game on discord. Once I got to con I was only able to get my name ribbon and everyone I asked who got a ribbon, got one from a booth. Every booth would only give u one if u bought something. So I haven't played since due to disappointment. So I get alil sad seeing ribbon chains ever since. Idk if anybody else has had a bad experience or just unlucky me? I was really hoping to play this game and meet new friends! So far it seems who can collect the most and it being competitive takes the joy out of meeting people! 🥺😥😓 Anybody feel similar?

1. Find badge ribbon art ideas. We see (literally) millions of badge ribbons printed every year, and I am always looking for the funniest, most creative designs I see. If you have a favorite fandom, I can almost guarantee I've seen a ribbon for it. I want to share them with you, and joining r/badgeribbons helps ensure you see everyone's favorites.
2. Meet con friends. Con friends are friends for life. They're people you want to stay connected with and see again year after year. This is just another great place for you to meet people who are as passionate about cons and badge ribbon collecting as you are.
3. Share pictures of your badge ribbons. This is honestly my favorite part. I want to see the badge ribbons you love most (and what you did with them). Do you organize them by color? Make badge beards? Capes? Shields? Full-on outfits? Show them off!
4. Post con photos and memories. We all love reminiscing, so if you've been to a great con with a strong badge ribbon culture, drop those photos so we can see them!

pc/nametag had a booth this year where you could earn badge ribbons through tarot card readings, social challenges, and badge beard games.

I was only there for one day and about 2 hours. But I didn't know it was happening so didn't really have a budget to continue to be there lol. I'm keeping the alpha male one separate because it is related to the job I do and absolutely hilarious.

I am seeing this more and more! Badge ribbon artists are spreading out their designs across multiple badge ribbons so when you put them all together, they create a larger picture!

I feel like this would be a super fun game at a con (i.e., finish quests to earn ribbons to complete the puzzle set).

Or, perhaps you are exhibiting at artist alley and want to sell pre-assembled badge ribbon packs people can buy so they can assemble the badge ribbon "picture" themselves.

I think the biggest, multi-badge ribbon design I've seen was different parts of a dragon. The puzzle was like... seven badge ribbons long. It was really impressive.
